The 75 tons drilling rig, MAIT HR 260, is appropriate for drilling large diameters using the kelly bar system and with the casing tubes directly with the rotary. HR 260 drills diameter larger to the maximum of 2.600 mm, i.e., 8.5 feet to the depth ranging from 40 to 80 metre, which is, 131 to 263 feet, to be precise. The machine works with augers and buckets without lower mast extension to 2.000 mm, i.e., 6.5 feet at a maximum of 260 kNm torque to drill pipes of 2,000 mm.
Here’s a better description of the working of the MAIT HR 260:
Works with Augers & Buckets:
While the HR 260 is available in different versions, the machine performs the following applications:
-
It drills wide diameters and in great depths
-
It can execute double head drilling
-
It can execute direct rotary drilling with casing and casing oscillator
-
Continuous flight auger and diaphragm walls
The different types of tools and attachments for MAIT HR 260 are:
-
Rock auger- While you drill the ground which is filled with sedimentary, metamorphic rocks varying from weak to hard stones up to 50-100 Mpa, rock auger drills it with or without casing. The tool is available with single or double start flights for any diameter to drill.
-
Rock bucket- Available in the double or single bottom with a conical and cylindrical shape to drill in any diameter, rock bucket is used to drill in sedimentary and metamorphic rocks up to 50 Mpa. Ranging from weak to medium, dense, and any gravel soil; the rock bucket drills with or without casing.
-
Soil auger- Soil auger is suitable for drilling in stratification with hardness up to 15 Mpa, soft to stiff slit and clay, and are available in a single start and double start flights. The tool is applicable in high-density sand and gravel, weathered rock, organic and inorganic slit.
-
Soil bucket- A soil bucket can drill in low-density sand slit, soft or hard dilt clay, to unlimited density sand and gravel. The bucket is available in the double and single bottom, a centrifugal type with conical and cylindrical for any diameter. It is also suitable for drilling near waterbeds or drilling with betonies, and for fine-grained soil with high or low plasticity clay.
We can never know how many machines are there in India, because there is no record of people owning the machine and if anyone has hired or bought the machinery.
